1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using the services provided by Dot And Dash Mobile Notary ("we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. These terms apply to all visitors, clients, and others who access or use our professional notary, apostille, and translation services. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must not proceed with booking or using our services.
2. Description of Services
Dot And Dash Mobile Notary provides premium mobile notary public services, certified document translations, and apostille facilitation. We serve the Inland Empire, Greater Orange County, and Los Angeles County areas. Additionally, we coordinate Remote Online Notarization (RON) services nationwide through commissioned online notaries in jurisdictions where such services are legally permitted.
Legal Disclaimer: We are not attorneys licensed to practice law in any state and may not give legal advice or accept fees for legal advice. Our services are limited to the performance of notarial acts as authorized by the Secretary of State and the provision of certified translations and apostille coordination.
3. Signer Identification Requirements
For any notarial act, all signers must be physically present and must provide valid, unexpired government-issued photo identification as required by California law (or the applicable jurisdiction). Acceptable forms of ID typically include a state-issued driver's license, US passport, or military ID. If a signer does not possess valid ID, credible witnesses may be required. Failure to provide proper identification at the time of the appointment will result in the refusal of service and the assessment of a full travel fee.
4. Fees, Travel, and Payment
Fees for notarial acts are set in accordance with state guidelines. In addition to notary fees, we charge travel and convenience fees, which vary based on location, distance, and time of day. These fees will be disclosed and agreed upon during the booking process.
Payment is due in full at the time of service via cash, credit card, or approved electronic payment methods, unless a corporate account has been established in advance. Delinquent payments may be subject to late fees and collection costs.
5. Appointments and Cancellation Policy
Appointments are scheduled based on availability. We value your time and ask that you value ours. Cancellations made with less than ____ hours' notice will be subject to a cancellation fee. If our notary arrives at the designated location and the signing cannot proceed—due to signer absence, lack of proper documentation, lack of acceptable ID, or if the signer is deemed unable or unwilling to sign—a full travel fee will be charged.
6. Apostille and Translation Services
While we facilitate the coordination of apostilles and provide certified translations, the ultimate acceptance of these documents is governed by the receiving agency or country. We are not responsible for delays caused by government processing times, postal service issues, or the specific requirements of foreign consulates or embassies.
7. Limitation of Liability
Dot And Dash Mobile Notary maintains professional liability insurance (E&O). However, our maximum liability for any error, omission, or breach regarding our services is limited to the total amount of fees paid for the specific service in question. We are not liable for any consequential, incidental, or special damages arising from the use of our services or the rejection of documents by third parties.
8. Privacy and Data Security
We take the privacy of our clients seriously. Personal information obtained during the course of our services is handled with strict confidentiality and in compliance with state notary laws regarding the maintenance of notary journals. We do not sell or share client information with third parties for marketing purposes.
9. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any legal action or proceeding related to our services shall be brought exclusively in the courts located in Riverside County, California.
