PREPARING FOR YOUR APPOINTMENT
All signer(s) must be physically present with their valid and current form of identification (CA Driver’s License or U.S. Passport/U.S. Passport Card are most common; see below for additional information). Photocopies/pictures/scans of identification are not acceptable.
In order for any notary act to be carried out, the CA Secretary of State requires that all signer(s) must be able to actively and openly communicate with the Notary Signing Agent. Translators/translations are not allowed. Dot and Dash Mobile Notary only provides notary services in English. Additionally, all signers must be able to sign their name under their own power and communicate with the Notary. Signer(s) must be able to convey that he/she/they are aware of what they’re signing under their own volition. If signers have any mental capacity issues, Dot And Dash Mobile Notary reserves the right to refuse service, especially in cases where it appears that the client will not remember or recognize the events that took place during the notary meeting.
Please ensure to print all documents that require notarized signatures in their entirety and have the documents out and ready for cursory review. Documents may not be missing pages and must be filled out completely before the scheduled appointment (excluding the signature portion).
If signer(s) have any legal questions regarding the document(s) that will be signed, please reach out to a legal professional prior to our appointment. CA Notaries Publics may not provide any legal advice.
CA Notaries Publics may not select notarial acts for clients. If a notarial certificate is not attached to the document upon presentation to the Notary, signers must inform the Notary if they'd like to have their signatures notarized via an Acknowledgement or Jurat.
If you do not see the agreed upon time slot available on on the Calendly page, place the agreed upon time in the notes section of the appointment request.
