General Pricing Policy

• Based on market trends and the economy as a whole, travel fees start at $65 depending on time of day. Peak travel times are between the hours of 6 A.M.- 10 A.M. and 2:30 P.M. - 7 P.M., Monday through Friday. Peak travel times incur an additional $20 fee. Dot and Dash Mobile Notary’s fees are within industry standards and based on this pricing model, Dot and Dash Mobile Notary is able to offer clients flexible payment options including payment with credit card. The stated pricing advertised is for cash sales. Digital payments made through Zelle or cash tender are considered cash payment methods. At the time of checkout, you will be presented with a choice between the discounted cash price or the price for using any other form of payment, including a credit or debit card, which will reflect the additional cost of the non-cash transaction. You may choose either form of payment at the time of checkout. As a reminder, checks are not accepted. 

• Dot and Dash Mobile Notary offers competitive pricing and charges $15 per notarized signature. 

• Dot and Dash Mobile Notary offers a ten (10) minute grace period from the agreed upon meeting time, after which clients incur a fee of $2 per minute for the first hour, and $4 per minute thereafter.

• Expedited Service Adjustments may be incurred when additional notarizations are requested at the time of appointment or when requests for notarization are outside of normal business hours.  All adjustments are discussed and agreed upon before services are rendered. 

• Cancellation/Non-Completion: In the event that Dot and Dash Mobile Notary arrives to the appointment and is unable to notarize the signature(s) due to no fault of their own, the travel fee plus $50 will still be due. The cancellation/Non-Completion policy applies to, but is not limited to, situations where signers may be unclear of what they are signing, unable to effectively communicate with the Notary, or the signer appears to be signing documents against their will. 

• Client(s) must cancel within two (2) hours of the scheduled appointment time, otherwise the travel fee is due.

• Dot and Dash Mobile Notary does not accept pre-payments. Clients may only submit payments once services have been rendered. Dot and Dash Mobile Notary does not issue refunds for services rendered. 

While recognizing that cost is important, remembering to balance cost considerations with a Notary’s reliability, experience, and professionalism should be taken into account as well. Dot and Dash Mobile Notary is proud to hold a 99 percent signing acceptance rate. 

Re-Notarization Policy

CA Notaries Publics are prohibited from making corrections to notarial acts after completion. If an error is discovered after the notarization is finished, the signers and the document must be presented to a Notary Public for a new notarization. In the unlikely event of a document rejection due to the fault of Dot and Dash Mobile Notary, a time will be scheduled with client(s) to re-notarize documents with the notarized signature fee being waived; travel fees still apply. If a document notarization is rejected due to no fault of Dot and Dash Mobile Notary, clients will be charged for travel and all re-notarized signatures.

Scenarios where Dot and Dash Mobile Notary is not liable for document rejection include but are not limited to if signers chose the wrong notarial act to be performed at the time of signing, the receiving agency attaches stipulations to the notarial act that are outside the confines of CA Secretary of State law, if the receiving agency refuses to accept a loose certificate even when that is the only way to keep a notarization in compliance with the CA Secretary of State.
